Good morning everybody. Tyrus here with another report.
First, progress has been going well. Chapter thirteen is about halfway done, and it's going to show more of a secondary group that you see in book 1, but not much is elaborated on. This is the first real time I'm writing "subplot" stuff, but it will play into the bigger whole of the story. The world around Flash and his allies really is important to the story, so having it constantly shift as they do will be crucial to how the characters evolve as well as how the world itself evolves. I want the world around the cast to feel realistic; There's an eldritch horror stealing souls from everyone, and only a group of rag-tag maniacs are going to stop it? The reaction the world has is...well, you can guess. The worldbuilding keeps expanding, and I really am excited for everybody to read it when it finally comes out! Secondly, I hope everyone is staying safe out there. The world is pretty uncertain right now, and nothing is guaranteed. So I just hope everyone takes the steps they need to insure the safety of themselves and their loved ones. One of the best quotes my dad told me was from Rocky Balboa: "It's not about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can GET hit, and keep moving forward." Life will kick you down real hard, and it will really fucking hurt sometimes. But you always have to get back up. I hope you all remember that. Third and finally, my personal life is okay. Things are also uncertain right now for my family, but we're all trying our best with our struggles. It's the best any of us can do right now, and we all just have to make it work. It was also getting warmer that past few days, but now it's getting colder again. Damn you, unpredictable Canadian weather, you're more inconsistent than me on my writing sessions. That's all for today. I hope everyone has a good few weeks, and continues to anticipate the next installment in The Advent Novel series! Incorrect quote: Mick: People should start saying "I will" instead of "I wish!" Eris: I will my parents loved me. Flash: I will my parents were still alive. Mick: ...you two are just sad.
