First of all, I, uh...TRIED to take some time off and didn't post on the 31st because I said in my last post that it would be my last of the year. But only taking a break made me feel lazy...So today, I'm really going to try and do a final proofread and edit of the entire novel. I've been breaking it down into three or four chapters at a time, but today will hopefully be my final edit and readthrough. I'm already looking into options for publishing it, so I'll keep you all posted. I'm still trying to get it done, so don't worry. With any luck, I won't find too many mistakes and I'll get it finished.

Second of all, I have more artworks from my artist, Iris! She did a great job this time around! These three pieces are based off three heavily important scenes from Book 1. I'm also working on a gallery page that show's all the artwork I have so far! And if you would like to submit some artwork to the site, send me an email at [email protected]!

Third, personal life. Things have been okay. My car unfortunately broke down, and I'm hoping I can get it fixed soon. I ordered a part and with any luck it should arrive tomorrow. But I've always had horrible luck getting stuff shipped to me, so I don't have very high hopes. Still, we'll see what happens.

Good afternoon, everyone. Tyrus here. This will be my last report of 2025.

Let's review what happened this year: Book 2 is finished and almost done editing! I could probably get editing done by the end of the week; that's how close I am to finishing. I also got my driver's license, got a car, and finally moved out! I've upgraded my computer, started making short videos (Even if I haven't done them in a while), and overall feel like I did a lot this year. But I'm not too satisfied. My resolution was to finish and publish the book, and looking back, you can see I wanted to get the book finished WAY earlier in the year. But, there was a lot of family stuff that happened with my Grandfather's passing (Rest in peace, Papa, I love you) and that really fucked me up this year. I don't want this to sound like a sob story or anything, but this year was...Rough, to say the least. I don't think I'm even close to publishing Book 2, and I've barely started the first chapter of Book 3. Art takes time, but sometimes it feels like it takes too long.

But, the most important thing is that I'm still here. I'm still writing and working, and I'm moderately happy. And that's okay for now. Stuff is still getting done. I firmly believe that you never truly lose in life unless you give up. Everything else is just a draw.

I can't say much after that. This year was unsatisfying, and I want to do even better next year. And I hope you all want to do better too. That's all for this report, I hope you all have happy holidays and a happy new year!

Good evening, everyone, it's Tyrus. Here's another report.

First of all, editing book 2 is going well. I've completed about half of the book so far, and I'm pretty happy with how it's shaping up. Book 3 is on hold for now until I finish my editing, but I still do have great plans for it. Editing isn't an easy task; I have to make sure everything is consistent and there's no plotholes. Along with checking the characters' grammar and speech patterns (Eris and Scott are hard to write), it's pretty tough. But I am still pushing to get it done.

Third, personal life. I have FINALLY moved out, and I'm living with some friends. I'm also trying to get another job since my current job cut my hours. Technically I have more free time to write, but motivation is all over the place and it's hard to push myself some days. I also recently got a tooth extracted, and...Jesus, please take care of your teeth, everyone. It was without a doubt the most painful thing I've had to go through in a long time. I even got a double dose of painkillers, and it was still horrible. Take care of yourselves, everyone.

Good morning, everyone, Tyrus here. I have another update for you all.

First of all, my birthday was on the 15th! I am now 21. My life has actually changed a lot in two weeks, if you can believe that. I've still been editing and working on perfecting Book 2. I'm about halfway done with the editing, and then I can work on getting it published. I once again appreciate everyone's patience. I do have other plans to get it published at a lower cost and faster than before, so please stay tuned for when Book 2 releases.

Second of all, Book 3 writing has officially begun! Chapter 1 is being worked on right now. I can't tell you guys how much the tone will change from Book 2 to Book 3, and you'll notice it right away. I seriously want Book 3 to be as visceral and dark as I can make it. New characters will be seen, a deeper connection between Flash and The Advent will form, and some things you guys might never have expected will appear obvious! Of course, most of my efforts are still going into Book 2, but I want to hype up Book 3 while I still can, haha!

Thirdly, my personal life. Things have been okay as of late. Had to drive through snow for the first time which was not fun, haha. And I could move out within just a few weeks from now, who knows? I've been taking it kind of easy since I finished Book 2, but I'm still going. I still got hopes and dreams powering me. I hope everyone is staying warm, it's gotten way too cold outside now. As Eris said in Book 1, "Winter sucks!"

Good morning, everyone. Tyrus is here once again for another report.

First of all, editing The Advent Part 2 is going well. I'm taking my time and carefully reading through everything. I'm also starting plans for writing Part 3. Book 3 is going to be a much darker tone than what was already established, if you can believe that! But for now, I'm focusing on Book 2, trying to refine it as much as I can before I start publishing it. There's not much to say other than I'm still working. I've slowed down, but never stopped.

Second, new artwork based on Book 1 is coming soon! I got my artist, Iris, working on some pieces based off some of the best scenes from Part 1 and I can't wait to show you guys when they're finished! I do want to get more art for promotional reasons, though money is kind of tight right now...or maybe I should just find a better way to promote my stuff. Oh well, I love seeing artwork of my characters, so it's okay! I've considered adding an "Artwork" tab on this website to showcase official and fan-made artwork. If you all want to see that, leave a comment or reply!

Third, personal life. It's getting cold again, which means I'm probably going to be miserable for the next few months...If it isn't obvious with Book 1 descriptions and dialogue, I hate winter. Make sure you all start getting ready to hear the same ten Christmas songs playing non-stop at every opportunity for the next seven weeks! It also means I probably can't go for my walks outside, which kills my inspiration. I've thought of entire characters, story arcs, and even new concepts for stories just on my walks, so I hope I can stay motivated over the next few cold months.

Good morning, everyone. Tyrus here with great news.​

First of all, we are finally, FINALLY finished! Book 2 is finally complete! It is 83742 words, 311 pages, and 24 chapters long! I finished it last week and posted it on several social media platforms. If you haven't heard, now you know! Now, there are a few things I need to do before I can actually start the publishing process, mainly editing. I will do most of the editing this time to ensure everything looks good. I don't have a publish date yet, but I'll tell you what looks realistic. I really wanted to finish the book in May so I'd have a chance of getting the book out by the end of the year, but I doubt that will happen. But the biggest thing plaguing me for the past year is FINALLY complete! It took a long time to finish, but I'm glad I finally finished it! And I can't wait for you guys to read it!

Second of all...what's next? Well, first editing and polishing to ensure this is the best book I could make. Then, I'll have to find some way to publish it. And during the publishing process, I will immediately work on Book 3. As I said before, I already know what book three will be like, and it's a huge tonal change from books 1 and 2. It will be even darker, Vyrus will be more present instead of backseating, and the characters' relationships will be more tense than ever. It will be a ride, and I hope you are ready.

Third, personal life. I am so close to moving out, so that will feel great. Halloween is coming up soon, and it's my favourite holiday. I may be too old for trick-or-treating, but I've always enjoyed the spooky month! I will be busy trying to work everything out for Book 2's publication, but I will still work as hard as I reasonably can. I hope I don't disappoint!

Good morning everybody, it's Tyrus again. Let's go into what I've been doing.

First of all, The Advent book 2 might be finished within a week. I have about 1400~ more words to write and it will FINALLY be done. That, and some editing, and I will have finally finished a manuscript again. I think it's crazy that I originally thought this book would be finished in January of 2025. As much as I also wanted to finish the book in May, I think I'm ready to accept that it just never would have been as good as it is now that I've taken my time. I'm so excited for everyone to finally read it when its finished. And I really hope that this sequel blows the first book out of the water!

Second of all, book 3 is still being planned out, and I've been getting amazing inspiration for this one. Developing Flash and Vyrus as characters is crucial for this book in particular, since Vyrus doesn't appear too often in this second book. I've been taking inspiration from all the great villains I love (Sephiroth from FINAL FANTASY VII, Vergil from Devil May Cry, The Witness from Destiny 2 and many more) to create a villain that people don't just love; they HATE. I want Vyrus to be DESPISED by fans from just how evil he is. I aim to make Vyrus one of the biggest haters in fiction, and the acts he preforms in book 3 should showcase that. Even when he's behind the scenes, he's always working to make Flash's life absolutely miserable. And I've been taking inspiration from other extremely evil characters like Judge Holden and AM, if anyone knows those characters.

Thirdly, congrats on me! My first update report started on October 9th, 2024. One day short of a full year, and we are here today. I'm proud to see all the progress I've made so far, and I want to keep improving best I can. In personal life news, I finally have my own car! I'm proud of myself, and I'm gonna be moving out sometime soon. Good things are coming soon guys! This might be the most positive report I've made in a while, and I hope you guys are excited too!

Good morning, everyone. Tyrus here. Let's have another report.

First of all, I'm not joking around anymore. The manuscript will be finished in less than three weeks. Chapter 22 is only a few sentences away from completion, and I have a good idea of what I want for chapter 23. It feels insane that these last few months have taken this long, but I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for continuing to put up with my inconsistency. I'm almost done now, and I'll finally start the final editing and start the publication process. Book 1 already gave me a great idea of how to do both of those things, so hopefully, things will go smoother. However, I'm sure you guys know by now that I am never that lucky. I'm as smooth as glass...broken glass.

Second of all, I finally made a third short video! It's on my Instagram, Bluesky, Tiktok and Youtube. It talks about how Fire Magic works! I'm thinking about doing short videos about how each type of magic works and what they can do. I'm still pretty uncomfortable with voice-over, so that might take a while...However, on my main channel, I DID make a video showing some clips I got in Team Fortress 2. If you want to see some low-quality clips (The bitrate was messed up when recording), I'll link them here. If you don't know me outside of author stuff, you might be surprised to learn I have a gaming channel. Just wait until I start streaming!

Good evening everyone, it's Tyrus. Lets start this report.

First of all, book 2 is nearing completion. The only things left to do is chapters 22 and 23, along with editing. Chapter 24 has been completed already (I did them out of order since I felt like I was making more progress with 24 than 22.) Chapter 24 is now officially the longest chapter in the book, with over 5000 words. And honestly, I think it might be the best worldbuilding and character interaction I've written so far. I'm very proud of it, and I cannot wait for everyone to read it all when it's done!

Second of all, I have finally started making short videos again. I didn't really make them, since I'm so uncomfortable with voice over, but I'm finally sucking it up and just doing it. I've started a new short video right now, and it's going to go more in-depth about Fire Magic. If anyone would like to see a short about a specific topic, let me know, I'll happily explain anything!

Third of all, personal life. Things are actually going pretty okay. I got some dental work done today, which explains why this report is being made later in the day. I've been feeling a little more motivation, and I was able to write 700, 1000, and 600 words within just a few days of each other, much better than I was doing before! Hopefully I can ride this motivation just a little longer, and I can finish book 2 by Late-Fall. I can't express how disappointed I am that this book has taken so much longer than my first one, but I've never stopped writing and thinking of my book. I really hope that everyone enjoys the finished product.

Good evening everyone, it's Tyrus. Let me share what's been going on:

First of all, progress is coming. We're still at a pretty slow pace. It's really hard to write how I want these last few chapters to go, but I STILL have not stopped. My estimate of mid-fall might be pushed back to late-fall to early winter, but it's STILL coming along. I sincerely apologize for not finishing the book sooner, I know you're all very excited to see how it comes to be. I don't want to make any excuses, even if I do have several big ones. I'm gonna keep writing, and book 2 will be great. I'll definitely be taking a break afterwards, but I promise I still won't be giving up.

Secondly...I just want to apologize again for the lack of content. I know a lot of people want to see more shorts and videos, but it's a lot harder to find motivation and inspiration to get these things done. If you REALLY want anything more from me, try reaching out to me on my socials. If you're a fan, I'd love to talk to you, even if it's unrelated to my book and brand. I just feel like I've put so much effort into my work, received very little reward, which leads to less motivation to use effort. Normally you can break this cycle, but when it comes to creativity, you can't really force it. I'm not using this as an excuse, mind you. I AM STILL WORKING, and I will KEEP working until this book is done.

Thirdly, personal life. Only thing I can really say right now: DAMN, it is HOT. I like summer, but the last few years have really sucked. Winter is still a lot worse though. I'm Canadian, I would know. And I'm going to be working at my personal job for several days in a row, so that's less time for writing. I don't want to apologize for all three paragraphs, but again. I'm sorry this book is taking too long. Still recovering from my grandfather's death, this heat is killing me, and I'm feeling lost creative-wise. But still, as the old saying goes, "Fuck it, we ball." We carry on.
